The Highest form of Bazi

Last week, in a conversation with my acupuncturist, Dr. Joshua Shain, (one of the best) something clicked in a way I had never fully articulated before. One of the highest levels of BaZi is not just analyzing elements—it’s seeing the picture they create.
When you step back and look at the energetic composition of this year:
Excessive Fire
No Water
Fire consuming the Wood
Fire attacking the Metal
You’re no longer reading a chart… you’re witnessing a landscape.
And the image that formed for me was unmistakable:
Scorched. Dry. Hot. Earth.
A barren, overheated terrain—like a desert stripped of moisture, where nothing can regulate or cool what’s building beneath the surface.

Then it hit me.
Where is conflict actively unfolding right now?
The Middle East—a region already defined by heat, aridity, and a natural lack of Water, where survival itself depends on man-made intervention like desalination.
This is what I mean when I say BaZi is not just personal… it’s environmental, global, and deeply cyclical.
It doesn’t cause events—
It reveals the conditions where they are more likely to emerge.
And right now, the conditions are clear:
Heat without regulation.
Pressure without release.
Fuel and energy restrictions.
Structure under attack.
An insidious undercurrent began in early March—subtle, building, not immediately visible… but very much in motion beneath the surface.
And here is where it becomes undeniable…
People all over the world are feeling, seeing, and experiencing pain in real time.
Economic pain has moved from headlines into daily life—
fuel, groceries, shipping costs, no fertilizer, fear, anxiety… the economy, the markets.
And then there is the backlash over the Iran war.
From here where I live in the United States, this is not a “left vs right” issue…
and this is not even about people “changing their minds,” this is good v evil.

The dollar is collapsing in real time. They know this. They will do anything to keep the “petro dollar” alive.
The Brics nations knew this as well.
This is pain forcing a recognition of reality.
No one wanted this.
No one voted for this.
When oil prices rise, gas prices rise, food prices rise, markets wobble, the economy suffers, especially the people who have already been living pay check to pay check.
And when the promise of strength no longer matches lived reality—
support doesn’t collapse because of opinion…
It erodes because suffering itself erodes it.
When you learn to see the picture, you can’t unsee it.
BaZi never ceases to amaze me.
If you would like personal guidance on how these energies are showing up in your own BaZi chart or home, through a Feng Shui consultation , you can also schedule a private consultation where I look at your timing, opportunities, and strategies for the year ahead.
Wishing you peace, calm, and clarity, in the midst of these turbulent times,
Melanie
