April - The Month of the Metal Dragon: Beneath the Dragon’ scales, where the hidden lessons lie!

The Metal Dragon month, the "Graveyard of Wood" fuses the Dragon’s creative power with Yang Metal’s sword-and-scales energy, symbolizing truth, justice, and balance. Metals here are the precious treasures buried deep in the earth, hidden until unearthed. This is a metaphor for karmic lessons surfacing this month—tough, challenging, and tied to the Dragon’s self-punishing nature.

As the Wood Snake year transitions from eclipse season, expect shifts toward fairness and righteous leadership, with the Law as a key theme. How do we navigate these intense lessons?

The I Ching hexagram of this month is #11, called 'Unity'.  Gaining strength through Unity. Although "Unity" harbors wonderful things, the emphasis is on working to make these good things happen. Without planning. and organization, don't expect good fortune to fall into your lap. Unity is strength.

Holding together produces success. High-level teamwork is achieved when the right players, on the right team, share a clear goal at the right time. A team forms its relationship delicately, chemistry is brewed in a vat of shared experience. A strong sense of unity and wholehearted commitment. is required for team success.

We are now fully in Period 9, which means that many of these transformational processes may unfold very rapidly and in an unsettling manner. This is all the more important to remain grounded in your spiritual practice as we enter fully into the Season of Fire, in May.
